Most of us leave sweets like this in a cardboard box and keep it in the fridge thinking that it will be fresh. In this way, we not only harm our health, but sweets also get spoiled and stale. Therefore, if you store sweets properly and carefully, then your sweets can last for a few more days without getting spoiled. 

So let's know some ways to store sweets.

1. Use steel containers for sweets

The biggest mistake we make while storing sweets is that we close them in a cardboard box and keep them in the cupboard or fridge. A strange smell starts coming from the cardboard boxes, due to which the sweets get spoiled prematurely. You should use steel cans for this problem. Remove all the sweets from their containers and keep them closed in steel containers.

2. Store sweets made from milk in the fridge

If you are consuming any milk-based sweets or pedas, then you should remember that do not store them for more than two days, otherwise, they will get spoiled. Within two days, finish the first such sweets. Whenever you take a piece, make sure that you keep the rest of the sweets back in the fridge

3. Buy fewer sweets made from mawa

Sweets made from Mawa are most likely to be adulterated. So as soon as you bring them home, they can go bad on the same day. If you like this sweet then you should try to finish on the same day or else you can buy sweet made from paneer or pure milk. Even if such a sweet remains for more than two days or if a sour smell starts coming from it, then throw it away.

4. To store sweets for 10 to 15 days

If you want to get such sweets which can be stored for a long time, then you should buy sweets made from dry fruits. Store these in the fridge too.

If you are making sweets at home, then use ghee

If you are going to make sweets at home, then you should first make them in small quantities, so that you can finish them in two days. Use ghee to make them because sweets made from ghee last longer, whereas sweets made from vegetables can spoil very quickly.

5. If guests are coming then do this

If guests are coming to your house, then cut the barfi into small pieces or make small laddus. By doing this, he will not leave half and all the sweets will also be consumed. This will also save wastage and sweets will not spoil.

Try not to overuse fried things and if you are making namkeen etc at home, then you can store them in airtight and steel containers.
